Meta Partner Linked to 7,600 Ads for AI Nudify Apps

TTP traced the network through advertiser and payer disclosures in Meta's own ad library. The report classified GatherOne as one of roughly a dozen agencies authorized to place ads for Chinese businesses seeking audiences outside China, where Facebook and Instagram are blocked.

The 7,600 figure is TTP's count, not a number independently published by Meta. The group said the ads appeared across 43 pages and promoted apps that could swap women's faces onto nude bodies or generate sexualized videos. One app, BAfter, included a feature marketed as "One-Click Undress." TTP also reported that some user reviews alleged sexualized images of children; LDS is treating that as a reported allegation rather than a verified criminal finding.

Meta told Bloomberg that it does not allow non-consensual intimate imagery or nudify apps and that violating advertisers can face canceled ads, financial penalties and account termination. The company said it banned BAfter and blocked links to several other apps.

GatherOne said it maintains zero tolerance for adult content, non-consensual synthetic imagery and child exploitation. After the report appeared, it told TTP that it had suspended new advertising-account applications involving nudify, face-swap and AI-girlfriend services and was upgrading its compliance controls.

The central issue is not only whether individual ads were removed. TTP's evidence points to a governance gap in the reseller layer: pages tied to an authorized partner continued advertising even after Meta removed other ads in the network.

For trust-and-safety and ad-operations teams, that distinction matters. Enforcement based only on a single creative or account can miss shared payers, reseller relationships and repeated app destinations. The report gives platforms and auditors a concrete set of linkages to test across advertiser identity, payment disclosures, app-store listings and prior policy violations.
