Maharashtra Signs MoU With Wadhwani AI

Maharashtra signed a memorandum of understanding with Wadhwani AI (LEHS AI Unit) on March 16, 2026, to deploy artificial intelligence across public health programs including tuberculosis control, maternal and child health, primary healthcare and e‑health services. The initiative, announced with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Health Minister Prakash Abitkar present, includes the "Cough Against TB" cough-sound screening app and micro-level vulnerability mapping to target active case-finding.
