Lok Sabha Speaker Urges Healthy Competition Among Legislatures

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Jan. 20 in Lucknow urged healthy competition among state legislatures while addressing the second day of the 86th All India Presiding Officers Conference. He noted a committee is examining standardisation of legislative practices, highlighted Uttar Pradesh Assembly reforms such as women-only sessions and youth dialogues, and underscored the role of artificial intelligence in improving legislative efficiency.
