LanderPi Integrates Multimodal LLMs For Embodied AI
LanderPi is a composite robot platform that combines Raspberry Pi 5 compute, an STM32 controller, multimodal LLM APIs (Qwen, DeepSeek, Yi) and a ROS 2 software stack to enable embodied AI capabilities such as semantic navigation, centimeter-level SLAM and 3D manipulation. It supports three chassis options (Mecanum, Ackermann, Crawler), MS200 TOF LiDAR, structured-light depth sensing, and MoveIt/RViz integration for sim-to-real development.
Key Points
- 1Implements multimodal LLMs with 3D vision to create a perception-decision-action loop.
- 2Enables semantic navigation via centimeter-level SLAM and global/local planning algorithms.
- 3Allows developers to prototype embodied robotics on ROS 2 using MoveIt, RViz, sim-to-real.
Scoring Rationale
Actionable, developer-focused platform with practical ROS2 tooling and tutorials; limited novelty and single-source product description.
