Japan Funds $36 Billion U.S. Infrastructure Projects

President Donald Trump's administration on Tuesday announced three Japan-financed projects in the United States valued at $36 billion, marking the first investments under Japan's $550 billion U.S. pledge. They include a $33 billion Portsmouth, Ohio natural gas power plant expected to generate 9.2 gigawatts annually, a $2.1 billion Texas GulfLink crude export facility, and a $600 million Element Six synthetic diamond plant.
