Indian Enterprises Adopt AI, Create New Roles

EY research published Jan. 19, 2026 shows 62% of employees in India already use AI regularly at work, based on a survey of over 200 enterprise leaders. Nearly half of respondents report multiple live generative or agentic AI use cases, though only about 10% report enterprise-wide deployment; firms are creating new roles such as agentic engineers.
