Indian Army Launches Technology Internship Programme

The Indian Army announced a new annual internship programme that gives students hands-on exposure to technology fields including cyber skills, artificial intelligence, drones, mass communication and accounting, Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor said. After a successful pilot, the scheme will run annually and aims to bridge classroom learning and defence modernisation through partnerships with academia, start-ups and the AI Research and Incubation Centre inaugurated in December 2024.
