India Fast-Tracks AI Curation Unit Deployment
The Indian government is fast-tracking 50 artificial intelligence curation units across ministries to parse non-personal government data and integrate high-value datasets into the IndiaAI Datasets Platform (AIKosh), officials told ET. Officials said the final 20 units will be established over the next few months, focusing on health statistics, agricultural surveys, geospatial maps, logistics, demographics and environmental data for AI modelling. The effort started nearly two years ago but faced delays from some ministries with strong existing data systems.
