HPE Delivers High-Speed Backup Storage Platform

HPE introduced the Alletra Storage MP X10000 in November 2024 and added the Data Protection Accelerator Node (DPAN) in August 2025, creating a disaggregated all-flash, scale-out backup platform managed via GreenLake. Testing showed a single DPAN sustained 83.83 GB/s (~300 TB/hour) and a four-node configuration can reach about 1.2 PB/hour, with up to 60:1 data reduction using StoreOnce Catalyst.
