GitHub Introduces Tools To Reduce Contribution Noise
GitHub announces new and planned features to help maintainers manage a surge of low-quality and AI-generated contributions that increase review burden. It has shipped pinned comments, noise-reduction banners, faster pull request diffs (up to 67% faster), temporary interaction limits, and faster issue navigation, and will add repo-level PR controls and PR deletion to reduce spam. These tools aim to rebalance contribution friction and preserve trust.
