Extreme Networks Bets On Agentic AI Networking

Extreme Networks CEO Ed Meyercord says the company is pivoting to an "AI-first" agentic networking platform, in a recent interview outlining strategy and supply-chain challenges. He warned semiconductor constraints tied to AI demand could last 18–24 months while noting pricing, sourcing and partner opportunities mitigate margin pressure. The company also expanded its Seattle AI team to about 50 engineers and targets edge deployments.
