Enterprises Pursue Agentic AI But Lack Readiness

Celonis released the 2026 Process Optimization Report on Feb 11, 2026, based on a June–July 2025 survey of 1,649 business leaders, finding 85% want to become an “agentic enterprise” within three years but 76% say current processes hold them back. The report finds 90% are using or exploring multi-agent systems, while 47% cite lack of expertise and 45% cite contextual understanding as top barriers. It warns 82% believe AI will fail to deliver ROI without operational context.
