Cisco Predicts Space Data Centers Emerging

Jeetu Patel, President and Chief Product Officer at Cisco, said the world is very soon going to see space-based data centers built in the next few years to tackle power and cooling constraints driven by AI and advanced computing. He cited higher solar intensity and different cooling economics in space, and estimated 10 to 100 AI agents per human (about 80–800 billion), creating massive 24/7 infrastructure demand.
