China Unveils DeepZang Tibetan-Language Large Language Model

China's CHOKNOR on March 15 in Lhasa launched DeepZang, the first Tibetan-language large language model. It supports Tibetan, Chinese and English, offers dialogue, real-time translation and speech-to-text, and was trained on about 70 million Tibetan parallel texts and over 30,500 hours of speech. DeepZang has completed national algorithm and model filings, received WRCA recognition, and secured cooperation agreements with China Mobile regional units and PICC.
