Cheerio AI, a Bengaluru-based customer engagement startup, raised Rs 8 crore in seed funding led by Artha Venture Fund II to develop multi-modal AI capabilities and a proprietary small-model LLM for ad generation. The company plans to expand from messaging into voice and video, scale AI-driven automations, and hire across engineering, AI, enterprise sales, and customer success over the next six months. The funding aims to strengthen enterprise-grade features and support global expansion.
