CEMWorks Develops Advanced Electromagnetic Simulation Tools

Jonatan Aronsson, founder of Winnipeg-based CEMWorks Inc., received the Research and Science Innovation prize at North Forge's inaugural DARE Innovation Awards last month for developing physics-based virtual prototyping simulation software. Founded in 2014 and employing 22 people, CEMWorks leads the EU-funded InnoStar project on tools for next-generation 6G systems with partners including NXP and Infineon.
Key Points
- 1Develops physics-based electromagnetic simulation software used for virtual prototyping across multiple electronic systems
- 2Enables cost and time savings by predicting device behaviour before expensive physical prototyping and fabrication
- 3Supports design of semiconductors, antennas, automotive radar and accelerates 6G hardware development workflows
Scoring Rationale
Profile highlights applied simulation and 6G collaboration, limited by local reporting and narrow technical focus.
