Canada Minister Meets OpenAI Over Chat History

Canada's Minister of Artificial Intelligence Evan Solomon says he will meet OpenAI security officials tomorrow to review safety protocols and escalation thresholds after reports the company flagged a ChatGPT account linked to shooter Jesse Van Rootselaar last June but chose not to notify police. OpenAI confirmed it banned the account and later informed the RCMP after the Feb. 10 Tumbler Ridge school shooting.
