Blizzard Establishes AI Governance For Game Development

Blizzard president Johanna Faries said at a press conference last week the company has a centralized governance team focused on generative AI in game development. She said teams may experiment with new AI tools provided they pass vetting for security, safety and company values, aiming to reduce drudgery while preserving handcrafted art. The scope and continued use of past tools like Stable Diffusion remain unclear.
