Bentley Systems Acquires Talon And Pointivo Assets
Bentley Systems announced Jan. 5 that it has acquired Talon Aerolytics and the technology and intellectual property of Pointivo, both drone-based asset inspection and data-processing platforms; terms were not disclosed. The deals extend Bentley’s Asset Analytics into telecommunications and electric utilities, enabling 3D point-cloud modeling, AI-powered damage detection and support for 5G deployments and grid modernization. Bentley plans to integrate the capabilities into its asset-management offerings.
