Anthropic Models Reach APAC Through Global CRIS

Amazon Bedrock now offers Anthropic Claude Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6, and Claude Haiku 4.5 via Global cross-Region inference (CRIS) to organizations in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan, available now. Global CRIS routes requests across more than 20 AWS commercial Regions to provide higher quotas, cost efficiency, and intelligent routing while keeping data at rest in the source Region. This supports production-scale chatbots, autonomous agents, and financial analysis systems.
Key Points
- 1Launches Global CRIS access to Claude Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6, Haiku 4.5 in five markets.
- 2Enables routing across more than 20 AWS Regions for higher quotas and cost-efficient inference.
- 3Allows production-scale autonomous agents and chatbots to maintain responsiveness during traffic spikes.
Scoring Rationale
Official AWS product launch provides high actionability and regional scale; limited novelty as it extends existing Bedrock capabilities to new markets.
