Andhra Pradesh Pushes Film Policy To Promote Tourism

On Feb. 27, 2026 Andhra Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Kandula Durgesh directed officials to organise the Nandi Awards and Nandi Natakotsavams and to introduce a new film policy encouraging shoots in the state. He pledged state support for studios and post-production facilities, mandated on-screen naming of tourist locations, proposed a talent databank and reported positive talks on a National School of Drama branch while urging integration of AI, VR, animation and OTT to boost the creative economy.
