AMD Expands Partnership With Upstage For Sovereign AI

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and South Korean AI startup Upstage said on March 19 they expanded their strategic collaboration to accelerate next‑generation AI development and support Korea's sovereign AI efforts. Upstage will deploy AMD Instinct MI355 accelerators over the next year to enhance its large language models and document‑processing engines and to contribute to a government‑led foundation‑model project. The move aims to strengthen domestic AI infrastructure and ecosystem.
