Adidas Investigates Third-Party Data Breach Claims

Adidas confirmed on Feb. 16 that it is investigating a potential data protection incident at an independent licensing partner and martial-arts product distributor after attackers claiming to be Lapsus$ posted on BreachForums. The criminals allege 815,000 rows of data — including names, email addresses, passwords, birthdays, company names and technical files — were stolen; Adidas says its own IT systems show no indication of compromise.
