ACT4FOOD Launches Cybersecurity Project For Food Supply

The ACT4FOOD project officially launched in Nicosia on February 9, 2026, to strengthen cyber resilience across the European food supply chain. Funded by the EU Digital Europe Programme, the 36-month consortium of 11 partners from eight countries will develop AI-based threat detection, a blockchain information-sharing platform, and TACCP 4.0 risk frameworks, testing solutions in aquaculture, dairy, and retail pilots to reduce disruptions and protect consumers.
Scoring Rationale
EU-funded, consortium-backed initiative delivers industry-wide cybersecurity focus; however, the announcement is a high-level press release lacking detailed technical specifications.
