Zhejiang Manufacturers Adopt AI To Boost Productivity

Chinese manufacturers in Zhejiang province are rapidly deploying AI across workshops and factories, local authorities and companies report. By the end of 2025, the province counted 608 digital workshops, 381 smart factories and 93 "future factories," with firms like Qianyong Textile, Zhongce Rubber and Zeekr reporting higher quality, fivefold productivity gains and up to 80% reductions in energy and pollution. The shift accelerates industrial digital transformation and introduces 5G-enabled visual inspections and AI agents on production lines.
