Zalando Publishes Joint Order Batching Benchmark

Zalando's Team BART recently publishes an arXiv preprint formalizing the Joint Order Selection, Allocation, Batching, and Picking problem for warehouse operations. The paper provides benchmark instances, two baseline algorithms, and a validation tool, with code and data released on GitHub. The team aims to establish a standard problem definition, stimulate academic discussion, and enable researchers and practitioners to evaluate and extend warehouse optimization methods.
