Vatican Bank Launches Catholic Principles Equity Indexes

The Vatican Bank on Feb. 10, 2026 launched two Morningstar-backed equity benchmarks, the Morningstar IOR Eurozone Catholic Principles and Morningstar IOR US Catholic Principles, each comprising 50 medium- and large-cap companies selected by Catholic ethical criteria. The indexes aim to serve as reference benchmarks for faith-based investors amid crowded ESG offerings, and Bloomberg reported U.S. holdings include tech firms Meta and Amazon.
