United States Launches Tech Corps To Promote AI Abroad
The White House announced at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 that the Peace Corps will launch a "Tech Corps" to deploy volunteers with STEM and engineering skills to help partner countries implement American AI solutions. The program will accept rolling applications, offer 12–27 month or virtual placements beginning fall 2026, and align with the AI Exports Program and Pax Silica supply-chain efforts.
