UK Investigates Targeted Attacks On Pakistani Dissidents

Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism command is investigating four 'highly targeted' attacks beginning on Dec. 24 against two Pakistani dissidents in Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire, The Guardian reported Friday. Incidents included a physical assault, shots fired through a window, attempted arson, chemical damage, racist graffiti, and one arrest; victims include former minister Mirza Shahzad Akbar. Officials warn of state-linked proxy operations and the victims have gone into hiding.
