Trump Announces America250 Celebrations With White House Events

On July 4, 2025 President Donald Trump used an Iowa speech to promote America250, the bipartisan congressional commission coordinating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. He outlined White House-backed events including a planned UFC bout on the White House lawn for up to 25,000 attendees and revival of a National Garden of American Heroes with 250 statues and $40 million allocated. America250 officials say programming was finalized in March 2024.
