Tamil Nadu Achieves Inclusive Economic Transformation

Tamil Nadu reported robust economic and social gains through 2023-25, with 11.19% real growth in 2024-25, a 9.21% share of national GDP in 2023-24, and the second-highest per-capita NSDP in 2024-25. The State combined manufacturing and services expansion—including 41% of India’s electronics exports—and startup growth from about 2,000 in 2021 to over 12,000 in 2025. This pattern supports spatially distributed, inclusive development.
