State Department Funds Queering The Map Project

Under Secretary of State Sarah B. Rogers testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on March 6, 2026, that the U.S. State Department funded a crowdsourced LGBTQ project called "Queering the Map." Documents and testimony show one grant allocated $72,000 for a Slovakia-focused version, and Rogers said the effort aimed to "make the maps more gay."
