South Korea Fosters 100 Defense Startups By 2030

South Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on Feb. 23 it will foster 100 startups in the defense sector and 30 venture firms reaching annual sales above 100 billion won by 2030. The plan includes a Defense Startup Challenge, military field testing, Defense AI Transformation hubs, defense-focused startup universities, and a regional K-Defense Startup Hub to expand military data access and speed commercialization.
