SK Hynix Purchases ASML EUV Scanners For Expansion

SK hynix on Tuesday said it will purchase 12 trillion won ($7.9 billion) of ASML extreme ultraviolet (EUV) scanners, according to a regulatory filing, to be delivered by December 2027. The equipment will support expansion of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) production and accelerate the transition to sixth-generation process technology amid rising AI-driven demand. SK hynix said the move aims to bolster its AI-related memory portfolio and market leadership.
