Seoul Launches Driverless Robotaxis And Physical AI

At the AI Seoul conference on Friday, Mayor Oh Se‑hoon announced Seoul will begin operating Korea’s first Level 4 fully driverless robotaxis starting this October and 18 Level 3 semi‑autonomous buses by year-end, positioning the city as a global testbed for physical AI. The city plans a Seoul Physical AI Belt, a robot venture town by 2030, and will invest 70 billion won in R&D plus a 150‑billion‑won Vision 2030 Fund.
