Samsung Display said Wednesday it developed SmartPower HDR with Intel to cut OLED laptop power consumption up to 22 percent versus previous panels. The system dynamically adjusts voltage by content, reducing consumption about 22 percent during web browsing and 17 percent during high-resolution video or gaming. Samsung said the technology will extend battery life for AI-enabled PCs.
