ROSpider Integrates TOF LiDAR And OpenClaw
On March 30, 2026, ROSpider, an 18-DOF hexapod platform, is introduced with eighteen 35KG high-voltage servos, TOF LiDAR, and OpenClaw compatibility. The ROS 2-based stack uses IMU–LiDAR fusion to remove motion-induced ghosting and maintain stable TF frames, enabling Nav2 for global navigation and MoveIt 2 for millimetric manipulation within 10cm. The open-source project includes over 2,000 pages of documentation and a public GitHub repository.
Scoring Rationale
Actionable, well-documented product release with IMU–LiDAR fusion and ROS 2 integration increases credibility and practitioner value. Novelty is moderate given existing legged platforms and promotional tone limits deeper technical validation, so score is high but not top-tier.
