Razer Invests Heavily In Developer-Focused AI

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan says the company has invested nearly $600 million in AI and plans to hire 150 engineers, speaking on The Verge’s Decoder podcast in January 2026. He acknowledged gamer backlash against low-quality generative content while arguing AI should be used for QA, bug detection, and developer support. Razer is also introducing branded features like AI mouse buttons and a Razer.ai hub.
