Primary Care Physicians Report Barriers To RF Adoption

In 2026, a cross-sectional qualitative study of 40 primary care physicians in Hong Kong assessed awareness and adoption of the government's Reference Framework for Preventive Care for Older Adults (RF). Participants recognized the RF's evidence-based, comprehensive design but cited barriers including policy and legal concerns (73%), limited resources (73%), complexity, time constraints, and poor workflow integration. Authors recommend flexible implementation, institutional support, tailored incentives, and technological enhancements to boost uptake.
