Pinterest Cuts Workforce To Prioritize AI

Pinterest said on Jan. 27, 2026, it will lay off less than 15% of its workforce and reduce office space, with cuts expected to be complete by the end of its third fiscal quarter in late September. The company said it is reallocating resources toward AI-focused teams and AI-powered products, and expects $35–45 million in pre-tax restructuring charges while reshaping sales and marketing.
