Pakistani Entrepreneur Wins Beijing Innovation Award

Abdul Rehman, co-founder of AgriTech startup SmartSoil AI, won a RMB 200,000 innovation grant at the 13th Chaoyang ITEC in Beijing on Feb. 7, 2026. The competition honored SmartSoil AI’s integrated use of portable IoT soil sensors, satellite remote sensing, and AI for real-time crop diagnostics and yield optimization. The award highlights China’s engagement with international innovators for green growth.
