OpenAI and Google Employees Oppose Military AI Use

Current and former employees at OpenAI and Google have signed a joint petition opposing use of their companies' AI tools for mass surveillance and weapons that can kill without human oversight, with more than 220 signers as of Friday (176 from Google, 47 from OpenAI). The petition cites Pentagon pressure, including reports the Defense Department may invoke the Defense Production Act to compel Anthropic.
