Nexi Partners With Google Cloud For Agentic Commerce

Nexi Group signed a memorandum of understanding with Google Cloud to develop agentic commerce infrastructure across Europe, the companies said. The partnership will combine Google Cloud's AI and data capabilities with Nexi's European payment network and support open-source standards such as the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) and Agent Payments Protocol (AP2). It aims to enable AI-managed shopping journeys, execute payments on consumers' behalf, and improve fraud detection, compliance, and merchant onboarding.
