National Centre For Physics Showcases Industry-Ready Innovations

The National Centre for Physics (NCP) concluded its first Industrial Expo on Feb. 4, 2026 in Islamabad, showcasing industry-ready prototypes and applied-research outcomes. Exhibits included AI systems for health management, drone-based yield estimation, cloud-seeding, cybersecurity, wire bonding, 3D printing and vacuum science, aimed at commercialization. Organisers said the event strengthens industry–academia linkages and positions Pakistan to adopt, commercialize, and export homegrown innovations.
Key Points
- 1Showcases multiple industry-ready prototypes including AI health systems, drone yield estimators, cloud-seeding, and wire-bonding
- 2Highlights NCP's shift from pure physics research to a multidisciplinary commercialisation and entrepreneurship hub
- 3Enables industry–academia partnerships and B2B matchmaking, making technologies available for commercialization
Scoring Rationale
Actionable and credible demonstration of adoptable technologies; limited novelty and primarily national, institution-focused scope, limiting broader impact.
