Today the National Book Critics Circle announced its 2025 shortlists: 30 finalists across six categories, including autobiography, biography, criticism, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The NBCC also named finalists for the John Leonard Prize and the Gregg Barrios Book in Translation Prize, and awarded the NBCC Service Award, Nona Balakian Citation, and Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award.
