Mother Faces Life Sentence For Infant Murder

Prosecutors on Thursday demanded a life sentence for a 30‑something woman accused of abusing and murdering her four‑month‑old son in Yeosu, where the infant died from multiple fractures and internal bleeding on Oct. 22. Authorities said the mother committed 19 abusive acts since Aug. 24, and prosecutors also sought a 10‑year term for the husband for neglect and witness threats; the sentencing trial is set for April 23.
