MIT MITHIC Highlights Human-Centered Research and Innovations

MITHIC, MIT’s Human Insight Collaborative launched in fall 2024, held its inaugural annual event on Nov. 17, 2025, where faculty presented projects supported by the presidential initiative. Speakers highlighted work ranging from the Living Climate Futures Lab—which won MITHIC’s first Faculty-Driven Initiative seed grant—to AI research using handheld ECGs on 6,000 Indian patients to detect silent heart attacks, curriculum pilots, and 3D-printed instrument reconstructions. The initiative issued new proposal calls for spring 2026.
