MIT Hosts Build For Ukraine Hackathon
During MIT’s Independent Activities Period (IAP), a four-week hackathon, Build for Ukraine 2.0, convened students, researchers, and Ukrainian collaborators across seven time zones to prototype wartime technical solutions. Co-led by the MIT-Ukraine Program, Edgerton Center, and Lincoln Laboratory Beaver Works with support from MathWorks, Mission Innovation X, and MIT.nano, five interdisciplinary teams and nearly 90 participants produced prototypes for de-mining visualization, nuclear acoustic monitoring, drone detection, RF localization, and disinformation tracking.
