At CES 2026, Tom's Hardware tested the Minisforum MS-02 Ultra mini workstation against a custom Fractal Define S desktop, comparing an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX to an Intel Core i5-14400F. The MS-02 Ultra delivered significantly stronger CPU single- and multi-core scores and modern I/O (USB4 v2, Wi‑Fi 7), but its sub-5-liter chassis limits discrete GPU size and high-end gaming or local AI workloads.
