(AP) — Top-seeded Merrimack defeated Marist 58-57 on Sunday night in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference semifinal after Tye Dorset hit a go-ahead 3-pointer and finished with 23 points. Dorset also had six rebounds and four steals; Kevair Kennedy scored 16 and Ernest Shelton added 13. Merrimack (23-10) will face the winner of Siena and Fairfield for the MAAC title on Tuesday.
